Korean Co-Teachers
The two most important things in avoiding confusion or frustration when planning lessons with your co‐teacher are being flexible, and communicating about everything. When there is minimal communication then assumptions are made. Overcommmunicate. Communication may be difficult, but say what you need to say right away in whatever way you need to or however many times it takes order to be understood and come to an agreement.
It's good to have respect for your Korean co‐teacher, just as any appreciates being given respect. Even though a foreign teacher might not agree with their Korean co‐teacher's teaching methods 100 percent, it's good to remember that the job of the foreign teacher is not to introduce revolutionary new methods to the Korean public school system. The foreign teacher's job is to work together and provide the students with grammar and pronunciation help which the Korean teacher alone cannot provide.
