Summer/Winter Vacation English Camp
The Korean Elementary school Calendar has a short, 1 month long vacation in late summer, and then a longer one which goes from right before Christmas to the beginning of March. During these vacations you will be able to choose when to use your designated vacation time, but apart from your vacation days, you will teach English Camp at your school. This English Camp is offered for free by your school and any students can sign up for it as an addition to their English education. Unlike the regular semester, most teachers teach this class alone, with no Korean co-teacher. So it's best to be well prepared. At the same time, English camp should be fun, because after all, it is during vacation and sometimes the kids can get rambunctious. In my opinion, the best method is to do lots of review, lots of speaking, and lots of games. Also at the end of my English Camps, I would have a cooking class and we would make Tuna sandwiches and fruit smoothies. All I had to do was tell the students what to bring and they all brought the necessary ingredients the next day.
Because of family vacations, attendance can be spotty. I've had some English camp classes with 25 students, and some with 2 students.
Below are some games, activities, and lesson plans I used for Summer and winter camps.

Real Life Situation Scripts
Honestly these are a little difficult, but I had some 5th graders who
really enjoyed them...With the incentive of getting candy, they even
memorized one of the roles each day. My co-teacher translated them into Korean so the students can understand. Download below.
